New approach for commissioning briefs

The NIHR is testing a new approach to attract applications addressing particularly challenging research briefs. There are a small number of briefs which have been advertised in the past which have not been funded, but are a continued priority for the NHS. The new approach to advertising these briefs is to hold calls open for longer periods, with an allowance for more divergence from the particular specifications of the commissioning brief, provided applicants can justify their choice of approach. You can read more about these funding opportunities on the NIHR website.
