The winners of this year's Royal College of Anaesthetists (RCoA) and NIHR Clinical Research Network (NIHR CRN) joint research awards have been announced.
These awards recognise the outstanding contributions of NHS consultants and trainees in conducting NIHR Clinical Research Network Portfolio studies, and aim to encourage those who commit time to research alongside their clinical duties.
The applications received this year were all of a high standard and showcased the enthusiastic engagement of NHS clinicians with research.
Congratulations to the winners in each of the three categories:
- Consultant Anaesthetist: Dr Louise Savic (Leeds)
- Anaesthetist-in-Training: Dr Jennifer Noyes (North East England)
- Anaesthetists-in-Training Network: Severn Trainee Anaesthetic Research (STAR) Group
The awards will be presented at the inaugural Anaesthesia Research 2019 2-day meeting taking place in York on 2 & 3 December.
