RCoA Research, Education and Travel Grants
Funding of up to £2,500 available to RCoA fellows, members, and registered trainees for short, small research projects.

NIHR Associate Principal Investigator (API) Scheme
The Associate PI Scheme (API) aims to develop junior doctors, nurses and allied health professionals to become the PIs of the future. It provides formal recognition of a trainee's engagement in NIHR Portfolio research studies through awarding Associate PI status, which has been endorsed by the NIHR and the RCoA. VACANCIES

NIAA Trainee Representatives
The NIAA is recruiting two Trainee Representatives on to the NIAA Research Council to represent the interests of trainees involved in research or academic training. If you are interested in advocating for trainee voices we want to hear from you. More details here.


POMCTN Deputy Director
The UK Perioperative Medicine Clinical Trials Network (POMCTN) is recruiting a new Deputy Director to take up post in 2022. Working alongside Director Dr Joyce Yeung, you will help to lead the Network forward into its next period. More details here.


POMCTN Chief Investigator Scheme
The POMCTN Chief Investigator Scheme was set up to provide training and mentor-ship for a small number of talented individuals who wish to lead their own clinical trials in perioperative medicine. The Scheme has now re-opened for new recruits to join in 2022. More details here.

JOHN SNOW AWARDS 2021

Congratulations to the 16 medical students that were successful in their John Snow Anaesthesia Intercalated award applications this year; each awarded £2,000 from NIAA partners the Association of Anaesthetists/Anaesthesia and the British Journal of Anaesthesia/RCoA.
