Vacancies: HSRC Clinical Research Fellowships 2019

(NELA, PQIP, NAP, SNAPs, obstetrics, paediatrics and data science)

The Health Services Research Centre based at the Royal College of Anaesthetists, in conjunction with the UCL Surgical Outcomes Research Centre (SOuRCe) and the University of Nottingham seeks to appoint up to 8 clinical research fellows to work on national health services research projects.

The projects available are:

  • National Emergency Laparotomy Audit (NELA)
  • Perioperative Quality Improvement Programme (PQIP)
  • Obstetric anaesthesia research
  • Paediatric perioperative research
  • Data science
  • NAP7 - perioperative cardiac arrest
  • SNAP-2 secondary analysis fellow

Each of these posts is linked to a clinical commitment at one of our partner hospitals:

  • James Cook University Hospital, Middlesborough - anaesthetics
  • King Edward VII Critical Care Unit (private hospital, London)
  • The London Clinic Critical Care Unit (private hospital, London)
  • Nottingham University Hospital, Nottingham - anaesthetics or critical care
  • The Princess Grace Critical Care Unit (private hospital, London)
  • Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital, Exeter - anaesthetics
  • Royal United Hospital, Bath - anaesthetics
  • St. George's Hospital, London - anaesthetics
  • University College Hospital, London - anaesthetics

The posts will commence in August 2019 and will be for one year in the first instance.

Candidates will be informed if they are shortlisted by 5pm on Friday 30 November.
Interviews will take place at the Royal College of Anaesthetists, London on Friday 7 December - please can all applicants ensure that they will be able to attend the interview.
