Over 190 hospitals register to participate in the NELA
Registration
The NELA registration process is progressing well with 155 trusts / Local Health Boards in England and Wales having registered an interest in participating in the audit. That accounts for 100% of all eligible acute trusts contacted by the project team.
Second Phase
The second phase of registration is to obtain full contact details of those participating and make sure that each hospital that carry out emergency laparotomies within the registered trusts/LHB are included in the audit.
We currently have 192 hospitals fully registered to participate in England and Wales.
We wish to thank all of those participants for their assistance in achieving this and we continue to work to obtain the full details of the final few hospitals.
