Research Expertise

I have a wide range of research experience in warming devices and the prevention of peripoperative hypothermia. I have also served on NICE guideline committees and advised NHS procurement agencies. I have a number of related studies fully recruited and a number of publications in the area.rnI have finished recruiting one study of carotid endarterectomy patients and am in the process of setting up another in a wider group of vascular patients.rnI have recently published an article of preconditioning.

Outcomes research in vascular anaesthesia and the prevention of perioperative hypothermia. The role of perioperative temperature management in enhanced recovery programmes.
