Job Title | Asst. Professor of Anesthesiology |
Research Interest | Anesthesiology, Critical Care, Resuscitation, Perioperative Medicine, Integrative Physiology, Pathophysiology |
Research Expertise | My main area of expertise/interest is the personalized, physiology-guided perioperative management of high-risk and critically ill patients, focusing on the physiological mechanisms, regulatory functions, and abnormal alterations at all biological levels ranging from the whole organism, systems, organs, and tissues to the cellular and molecular level, as well as on their interactions and integration. Other areas of interest include the evaluation of hemodynamics, macro/microcirculation, and tissue perfusion, shock, advanced hemodynamic support, the assessment of responsiveness to fluids, vasoactive drugs/inotropes/vasodilators, and blood/blood components, the therapeutic response in states of shock, perioperative inflammation, as well as techniques, drugs, and adjuvants used in anesthesia, critical/intensive care, resuscitation, and perioperative medicine. |
