Research Expertise

We have a team of research nurses and fellows to recruit patients from our multiple ICUs. The ICUs all contain clinical laboratory facilities (centrifuges, -80 freezers etc) to prepare and store samples.

We have additional laboratory facilities to carry out simple ELISAs, multiplex cytokine assays, flow cytometry, mass spectrometry and NMR assays.

As lead for the Emergency & Critical Care theme in the Imperial Clinical Trials Unit, I work closely with clinical trialists and statisticians to design & run multi-centre clinical trials and have facilities to develop bespoke electronic case report forms and databases, randomisation services and trial monitoring.

Research Areas
