Apply Now: 2018 Round 1 NIAA Grants

The first round of NIAA funding for 2018 is now open to applicants. Grants of up to £100,000 are available from the following NIAA partners including a new joint grant from the AAGBI & ACTACC:

  • Association of Anaesthetists of Great Britain & Ireland/Anaesthesia - up to £75,000
  • NEW joint Association of Anaesthetists of Great Britain & Ireland/Association for Cardiothoracic Anaesthesia and Critical Care - up to £60,000
  • British Journal of Anaesthesia/Royal College of Anaesthetists - up to £100,000
  • British Society of Orthopaedic Anaesthesia - up to £10,000
  • Difficult Airway Society - project grants up to £15,000 or small grants up to £5,000
  • Neuroanaesthesia and Critical Care Society of Great Britain & Ireland - up to £20,000
  • Obstetric Anaesthetists' Association - large grants up to £60,000 or medium grants up to £15,000
  • Regional Anaesthesia UK - up to £5,000

The deadline for applications is noon, Friday 20th April 2018

Decisions on these applications will be made at the NIAA grant committee meeting in June

Please note that all applications received via the NIAA are reviewed by a lay member of the grant panel and this review has input to the overall review of the applications. If you don't have any input from a lay person in your research, you may wish to apply for support from the NIAA Health Services Research Centre's Patient, Carer & Public Involvement Group.
