Clinician Scientist Fellowships

The Health Foundation is keen to support translational research that aims to make a long-term difference to the quality of patient care. Applications are welcome from medically qualified professionals, who are either nearing completion of their specialty training or have recently obtained their CCT.

The programme is open to clinicians working in any medical discipline. We particularly welcome applications from professionals working in the fields of anaesthesia, paediatrics, pathology, psychiatry, radiology and surgery.

What do the fellowships provide?

The fellowships provide:

  • five years' funding to cover personal salary costs
  • an allowance for research expenses
  • a programme of leadership development
  • a mentor drawn from the Academy's Fellowship
  • extensive opportunities to network with experts and peers.
